Trump: Meeting With Insurance Companies Over Healthcare Costs In FL

(Washington, DC) -- President Trump says he's going to meet with major health insurance companies soon to discuss lowering costs for Americans. Speaking from the White House, Trump said the meeting could take place in Florida over the holidays, or in the first week of 2026 at the White House.Trump's announcement comes as Republicans and Democrats remain deadlocked on how to address rising healthcare costs. Subsidies for the Affordable Healthcare Act are set to expire in the new year, raising premium prices for millions of Americans.

Volusia County Woman Accused Of Kidnapping Children Has Been Found

(Edgewater, FL)-- A Volusia County woman accused of kidnapping her children is in custody.Edgewater Police announced this morning Emily St. Clair was found in Seminole County. She allegedly took her seven-year-old daughter and five-year-old son last night at a gas station in Edgewater on West Indian River Boulevard.The EPD says she followed their father to the station without his knowledge, and when he went inside, she took the kids out of the car and left with them. St. Clair is not allowed to have contact with the children. Police say the children were unharmed and reunited with their father.     

Woman Arrested For Aggravated Child Abuse In Osceola County

(Kissimmee, FL)-- A woman is charged with aggravated child abuse in Osceola County.The sheriff's office announced yesterday Lee County's Tiffany Lee Griffith was arrested after an incident Friday at the Gaylord Palms Hotel in Kissimmee. Deputies say three children were playing in the pool when a 6-year-old boy dunked Griffith's 6-year-old son underwater. Griffith then allegedly entered the pool, confronted the boy and dunked him, holding him underwater for several seconds. Deputies say the boy was visibly upset, had a nosebleed and told his parents what happened. Griffith is being held without bond. 

Deadly Train Collision In Broward County

(Dania Beach, FL)-- One person is dead after a train collision in Broward County. It happened last night in Dania Beach near Old Griffin Road. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue says the victim was hit by a Brightline train. No details were released.

DeSantis Backs Plan To Eliminate Yellow Registration Decals

(Tallahassee, FL)-- Ron DeSantis supports an idea that would affect car owners.  Miami Lakes Republican State Rep. Tom Fabricio filed a bill last week to eliminate the yellow registration stickers you place on your license plate. He says officers can use digital technology to determine if your car isn't properly registered. Also, Fabricio says the stickers are costly and outdated. Governor DeSantis wrote on X yesterday "good job, Tom, get it done." 

NHL Announcer Suspended After Hot Mic Catches Inappropriate Comment

(Philadelphia, PA)-- Philadelphia Flyers radio announcer Tim Saunders has been suspended by the team. The suspension comes after Saunders made an inappropriate comment during the team's loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday night. Saunders jokingly asked someone to perform a sexual act during the third period after he thought he had sent the broadcast to a commercial break and was off the air. The Flyers handed Saunders a two-game suspension Friday morning. 

Powerball Jackpot At $1.6 Billion

(Undated) -- There's still no winner in the billion-dollar Powerball lottery. Nobody matched all six numbers in Saturday night's drawing for one-and-a-half billion dollars. So the Powerball jackpot now rolls over to Monday night's drawing, when it will be worth an estimated one-point-six billion dollars, making it the fifth largest U.S. lottery jackpot ever. Whoever wins the grand prize can choose the full amount over 30 installments or take the cash option of 735-million dollars before taxes. There were eight tickets in Saturday night's drawing that matched five of the six numbers, and those tickets are now worth a million dollars each.
