Crews Demolishing Rockledge Hospital

(Orlando, FL) -- The demolition of a Rockledge hospital is entering a second phase this week. Crews are on-hand to tear down Orlando Health Rockledge Hospital after it closed due to deteriorated conditions earlier this year.The plan is to give the land back to the city of Rockledge, which is supporting the idea of still using it for healthcare purposes. 

CAIR-Florida Sues DeSantis Over Foreign Terrorist Organization Label

(Tampa, FL) -- The Council on American-Islamic Relations in Florida is suing Governor Ron DeSantis.CAIR-Florida filed the lawsuit after the governor designated the non-profit a foreign terrorist organization.DeSantis claimed individuals associated with CAIR have been convicted of providing support to foreign terrorist organizations. He signed an executive order that bans state agencies from doing any business with them.CAIR-Florida is seeking an injunctive against the executive order.

Major Cocaine Trafficking Ring Dismantled In Miami

(Miami, FL) -- At least 20 people are behind bars after a major law enforcement operation early this morning dismantled a cocaine trafficking ring in Miami, according to the Miami Police Department. Police say the coordinated sweep involved undercover narcotics detectives working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office. Investigators say the operation also disrupted a murder-for-hire plot and saved one person's life, though details remain limited. Authorities seized more than 22 kilograms of cocaine, about 120-thousand dollars in cash, and firearms, with more arrests expected.

MoCo Family Secures Attorney Over HOA Holiday Display Fines

(Germantown, MD)-- The Maryland family being fined by their HOA over their home's outdoor Christmas decorations is getting a lawyer involved. The Salgado family doesn't plan to take down their lights, wreaths or nativity scene despite being fined 50-bucks a day by the Middlebrook Manor South Homeowners Association, but does plan to take the issue to court, if necessary. The group contends the holiday display is violating HOA nuisance rules. The HOA also recently sent a letter to another homeowner warning of fines if their lighted team of reindeer wasn't removed.
