Hostages and prisoners are being released in the battle between Israel and Hamas. Hamas is now fighting clans in the region as opposed to the Israelis. The president has arrived there and is heading to the formal signing of the peace deal.
In other things that appear to be turning around, school districts in Minnesota are finally standing up for girls in athletics. Maybe it’s that Norwegian influence? Publix has started something that could very well catch on…the grocery store bar. I’m not sure it’s a good idea, but word is, it’s expanding.
Another federal judge has stopped National Guard troops from being deployed. This time in Illinois. The president says the military will be paid during the shutdown while federal layoffs, including one department closed completely, are underway.
