Florida Reaches Settlement With HIV Drug Provider Accused Of Kickbacks

(Tallahassee, FL)-- A pharmaceutical company will pay millions to Florida for allegedly giving kickbacks. Attorney General James Uthmeier announced yesterday Gilead Sciences has agreed to pay the state three million dollars to settle claims it paid providers to improperly promote the company's HIV/AIDS drugs. Uthmeier says Big Pharma will be held accountable when it puts profits ahead of patients by unlawfully promoting drugs. The 3-million dollars will go to the Florida Medicaid program.

Ladapo Discusses Tylenol & Autism

(Tampa, FL) -- Florida's surgeon general is open to the possibility Tylenol could have links to autism.Dr. Joseph Ladapo [[LAD-uh-po]] was in Tampa yesterday at the University of South Florida. Ladapo discussed President Trump's comments this week about a possible link between Tylenol and autism. Ladapo says it seems reasonable to conclude Tylenol may be contributing to the prevalence of autism in children. He adds not all studies find that, but some do, and we're still looking at it. 

White House Biden Autopen Portrait Unveiling

(Washington, DC)-- The White House is unveiling its new "Presidential Walk of Fame." The collection is positioned just outside the Oval Office and features portraits of U.S. presidents, with the exception of former President Biden. For former President Biden, the White House opted to use a framed photo of an "autopen" writing his signature. President Trump and his allies have focused on Biden's alleged use of the autopen, which can be used to sign official documents in place of a manual signature, and raised questions about his cognitive abilities while in office.
