Charlie Kirk was memorialized yesterday in an event that was part worship service, tribute to Charlie and political rally for America. We’ll share our perspectives about Kirk, his life, the memorial and more on today’s show.
We’ll also look at ourselves and the dialogue that continues in the wake of Kirk’s assassination. Some employees (besides Jimmy Kimmel) are facing discipline or job loss for the inability to separate their work from their emotions over issues.
Then we have Florida State Senator Don Gaetz. Under the guise of allowing churches to protect themselves from violent attack, he is proposing a law that would impose severe restrictions on houses of worship. His proposal is outlandish in what it would require of these churches and it needs to be stopped before the Senate tries to impose them.
Open carry, while now allowed in Florida, still has questions on just what restrictions may be in place. Common sense should prevail for most of us, but we can’t always count on that being the case. The legislature has some work to do before this is clarified.
Welcome to our Monday.
