The news Monday afternoon was that Iran was firing missiles at US bases in the Middle East. The attacks were not successful. By nightfall President Trump had announced a ceasefire had been reached. As I was preparing the show in the office this morning, news broke that Iran had violated the ceasefire and Israel was launching on Tehran in response.
While Israel and the US are seeking peace, it does not appear to be an easy path.
In unexpected news yesterday the Brevard State Attorney’s office announced that Mitch Needelman has been found competent to stand trial and they are working toward that end. A status hearing is scheduled July 9th.
We’ll live largely on the Middle East stories this morning but will resume Dave Does History in our third hour. As Dave’s Liberty 250 series continues we’ll get a look at Benjamin Franklin.
