It was an uneventful weekend…unless you follow college baseball. If you follow elections you’d believe there isn’t one going on here in Brevard. I voted Saturday. Few of us did. Worse yet, it’s as if the candidates couldn’t care less. Signs of them or their campaigns were largely absent. Just like marks on my ballot.
We’ll pick up this morning where we were on Friday. Transletes, women’s sports and organizers’ admission that they are wrong, but not doing anything about it. Some of the girls are taking a stand by not taking the podium.
There’s no doubt immigration enforcement is far better than it was over the previous four years, yet there are those who will fight it at every turn. The governor in Massachusetts is one of those people. Meanwhile, in Boulder, Colorado an immigrant who overstayed his visa is the suspect in the firebombing of a peaceful protest.
There’s talk in Tallahassee that the budget may become a priority for legislative leadership. It’s about time and time’s about up.
