Child Found Dead After 2 Week School Absence In St. Lucie County

(St. Lucie County, FL) --Police are investigating the death of a six-year old in St. Lucie County. A St. Lucie County Sheriff spokesperson said the child was found in a bedroom Friday. A school resource officer had reported the child missing after being absent from school for the last two weeks. Police say they're treating the situation as suspicious.

2 Motorcyclists Injured After Crashing Into Alligator In Volusia County

(Volusia County, FL)-- Two motorcyclists are suffering from injuries after crashing into an alligator in Volusia County. Florida Highway Patrol officials say it happened Saturday while on Interstate 4.Both vehicles were pushed off the highway with one crashing into a tree. The alligator also suffered from injuries and is being treated. 

Parking Garage Fire At MCO

(Orlando, FL) -- Four cars are damaged after a fire in a parking garage at Orlando International Airport. Airport officials say a car was parked on the top floor of Garage A when it caught fire yesterday morning. The fire spread to three other cars. No one was hurt. There's no word on how much damage there was to the cars, but WESH 2 reports the car that first caught fire "appeared to be completely charred in the front."

Toddler Rescued After Ride On Luggage Conveyor Belt

(Newark, NJ) -- A two-year old boy is safe after taking a ride on a luggage conveyor belt at a New Jersey airport. The New York Daily News says the toddler's mother was at the JetBlue counter at Newark International trying to rebook a flight when the boy stepped onto a conveyor belt that moves checked bags throughout the terminal, and was whisked away behind a wall. Two Port Authority police officers jumped onto the belt and caught up with the child as he was about to go through the luggage x-ray machine on the lower level. The boy was not injured but EMS was called as a precaution.
