Trump Joins Tele-Town Halls For Florida Special Election Candidates
(Tampa, FL) --President Trump is backing two Republican candidates in Florida's upcoming special elections. He joined a telephone town hall last night for Florida's Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis, who is running to replace former Congressman Matt Gaetz in the state's First Congressional District. Trump said that electing Patronis will help stop the radical left. He also called in for State Senator Randy Fine, running to replace Congressman Mike Waltz in the sixth district. Waltz resigned to become Trump's national security adviser. The special election is Tuesday.
Brevard County Man Arrested For Throwing Party For Underage Teens
(Cocoa Beach, FL)-- A Brevard County man is accused of throwing a party for underage teenagers. Cocoa Beach's Mark Reisinger was arrested Saturday for hosting an open house party. He's also charged with resisting arrest without violence. Police say about 50 teens were at the home on Capri Road where alcohol and drugs were being consumed with Reisinger's knowledge.
Deadly Police Shooting In Jacksonville
(Jacksonville, FL)-- A man is dead after he was shot by police in Jacksonville. It happened last night at Kings Trail Apartments on Toledo Road. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says officers were called to the home after Alquan Suydam allegedly punched his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach and refused to let her leave. The JSO says when officers arrived, he pulled a gun and was shot. He was taken to the hospital where he passed away. No injuries were reported to his girlfriend.
Two Killed In Shooting On Miami-Dade Transit Bus
(Miami Gardens, FL)-- Two people are dead after a shooting on a Miami-Dade County Transit Bus. It happened yesterday morning in Miami Gardens. Police say the driver was arguing with some passengers and then opened fire. Two men on the bus were shot and taken to the hospital where they passed away. No arrest has been announced, but police say they're still investigating.

(Florida) -- "Tesla Takedown" protests have the Florida Attorney General directing law enforcement to watch over events. Hundreds of protester events have been held and more are being planned across the U.S. by anti-DOGE activists. SpaceX To Launch Historic Mission
(Cape Canaveral, FL)-- SpaceX is getting ready for a historic mission. The Fram2 mission planned for tonight will mark the first time humans have orbited Earth's poles from space. Entrepreneur Chun Wang is paying for the mission that includes three others. They'll be flying in the Dragon capsule named Resilience. The four-and-a-half hour launch window opens at 9:46 tonight at Kennedy Space Center. Wang tells Spectrum News 13 he wants to bring the world a new view of the polar regions that are so important to us.

(Los Angeles, CA) -- A new study is looking at why artificial sweeteners may not help with weight loss. Researchers found that drinks with the artificial sweetener sucralose heightened the feeling of hunger by nearly 17-percent. The study only monitored the impact of sucralose and not other popular artificial sweeteners like aspartame.
