It was an eventful weekend. The Super Bowl is set (and it’s a rerun). The Trump Train has not slowed down. Proper terminology is back in more places than one. The power of the presidency is evident; just ask Colombia. A couple of the president’s cabinet picks were confirmed, but not without some help from the vice president. DOGE got a hand from the president’s DEI policy change. US aid to the world is being realigned to conform to American interests.
In Brevard, the special election is set for a couple of legislative seats. In Tallahassee, the special session that begins today will bring interesting insights into the governor and this legislature that is not exactly happy about the session being called. Florida Democrats have chosen to pursue obscurity as radicalism is what they favor. They decided to keep Nikki Fried as their party chair. Like that’s worked out well for them so far.
Welcome to the talk week on BML.
