Is it possible that the shifting culture is what caught up to the Democrats in November’s election?Or was election day the event at the fault line that caused the ripples to continue into today? The repercussions continue on various fronts from media to education, government and the culture at large.
We have examples through today’s show.
We’ll start with media with CNN’s pending layoffs and recent defamation suit loss. President Trump has directed federal agencies to eradicate DEI and is now focused on higher education. On the local education front, it appears the Brevard School Board needs to understand the court system, follow the orders and get past the bad policies of the pervious board. The County Commission, so far, is not a lot different from its predecessor. It appears decisions made aren’t necessarily in stone. Finally, Governor DeSantis has some ideas on a change that Florida needs desperately in our constitutional amendment process. In fact, it needs to end, but that may be too much of a reach.
We’ll explore these things today on BML.
