Thanks to everyone who showed up at the Publix at Babcock and Hibiscus on Friday. Andy’s trumpet playing was stellar and your generosity shined through. If you missed it, be sure to stop by a Salvation Army red kettle as you wrap up your Christmas preparations.
Christmas week was off to a good start. The Home Free concert at the King Center Sunday afternoon was amazing. The service folks at the King Center could use a lesson or two in properly dealing with the public.
Then Monday came. I had been locked out of my email on my phone since Saturday sometime. I figured it’d be an easy fix once I was back in the office this morning. Boy, was I wrong. It was worse than the email. I was locked out of my computer, and thereby locked out of every computer in the building. Calling the help desk would be fun, our phones run through the computers and with not being able to log in, I was flat out of luck. Fortunately, our studio phone is a landline and I was able to call with that while using my cell to make the suggested adjustments.
I have several items in mind for our final show of 2024 and we’ll open it up to whatever’s on your mind as we close the year together this morning.
Rory O’Neill, host of The Weekend Dive, will be handling mornings through the holiday week and I’ll be back on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
I hope your holidays are joyful and safe.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy New Year!
