FBI Has Election Command Center In Miramar
(Miramar, FL) -- The FBI will be keeping a close eye on today's voting across South Florida. Agents will be based in a command center in Miramar to address security threats and unusual activity. FBI Miami Special Agent in Charge Ryan James says that could be anything like fraud, civil rights violations or threats against poll workers. He also tells CBS News Miami the command center will be open tomorrow to address any post-election problems.
Orlando Shooting Suspect To Be Charged As Adult
(Orlando, FL) -- The teenager accused of killing two people in a shooting in Orlando will be tried as an adult. Orange-Osceola State Attorney Andrew Bain announced yesterday 17-year-old Jaylen Edgar was formally charged as an adult with two counts of second-degree murder with a firearm. He's also charged with one count of attempted murder with a firearm. Bain says more charges are coming. He says he decided to charge Edgar as an adult because of the brazen nature of the crime and the multiple victims who were shot in the middle of downtown while celebrating Halloween.

The pandemic's impact on social interactions lingers, with many still craving human contact. Experts suggest that planning group activities or trips could help rejuvenate social connections.
