This election season causes me to wonder what kind of people we are. Passions run high and facts are out the window. We assault each other over political differences. We can’t talk issues. We see opposing viewpoints as enemy positions as opposed to discussion points. And we react to “news” that meets our predetermined perspectives. How do you govern in those conditions?
We see political figures ignore criminal behavior of their cronies and even treat them as revered colleagues after the public betrayal. Why are they unaccountable?
We have street violence resulting in multiple deaths and injury and the City of Orlando place restrictions on victims instead of the bad actors.
Polls are open from 7am-7pm tomorrow. SOE Tim Bobanic will join us at 7:42am with some final reminders and a new look to the Brevard election results page.
