Teen Arrested For School Shooting Threat In Osceola County
(Kissimmee, FL) --A teenager is accused of threatening a school shooting in Osceola County. The sheriff's office announced yesterday a 17-year-old boy was arrested for a threat directed at Poinciana High School. Deputies got a tip Monday night through Fortify FL and went to the teen's home. They say they checked his backpack and found a stolen gun and a 34-round extended magazine. He's facing charges that include grand theft of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a minor. The sheriff's office says the tip they received prevented an unimaginable tragedy.
Ben Crump To Represent Man Paralyzed After Being Tased By Police In Brevard County
(Palm Bay, FL) --Ben Crump is calling for justice in Brevard County. The civil rights attorney announced yesterday he's helping represent Thomas Farley. Farley was paralyzed after he was Tased by police in Palm Bay in June. Crump says Farley was fleeing an officer and was climbing a fence when he was Tased. That caused Farley to fall and left him paralyzed from the neck down. Crump says he'll release video at a press conference at ten-o'clock this morning at Melbourne Military Memorial Park on Oak Park.
Teen Arrested For Voter Intimidation In Duval County
(Neptune Beach, FL) -- A teenager is facing charges after an incident at a polling location in Duval County. Neptune Beach Police yesterday arrested 18-year-old Caleb Williams for intimidating voters at the Jacksonville Public Library Beaches Branch. He allegedly waved a machete at two women, who called police. No one was hurt. He's charged with aggravated assault on a person 65 or older because one of the women is in her 70s. Williams is also charged with improper exhibition of a firearm or dangerous weapon. Police Chief Michael Key says free speech rights go out the window the moment you raise a machete over your head in a threatening manner.
Elections Worker Fired After Ballots Are Found On Side Of The Road
(Miami, FL) --An elections worker is no longer employed after an incident caught on video in Miami-Dade County. The county elections department announced yesterday an employee was fired after ballots fell out of a truck in Cutler Bay. The already-voted ballots were in a sealed bin and a sealed bag, and they fell out of the back of the truck because the employee forgot to lock it. Elections officials credit residents who recorded the incident for turning the bin and the bag into police. Elections staff verified all the seals were intact and nothing was tampered with or damaged. The seals were checked and verified again once they were brought to the elections headquarters. Elections Supervisor Christina White tells CBS News Miami the votes were already tabulated before the ballots fell out of the truck, and the paper ballots were just backup records.
Bail Bondsman Arrested For Human Trafficking
(Tallahassee, FL) --A local bail bondsman is accused of using his position to prey on women in the criminal justice system. Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody announced yesterday Russell Bruce Moncrief was arrested for human trafficking and racketeering. The owner of Moncrief Bail Bonds allegedly told female inmates in the Orange County Jail and others that he would only offer them bond in exchange for sex. Moody says he also sold the woman for sex to others for his own financial gain. She calls it a sickening scheme. Moody also says Moncrief faces up to 125 years of jail time. He's being held without bond.

Hyper partisanship, political violence and overwhelming ads have measurable health effects. According to an American University poll published last month, 32-percent of Americans ages 18-to-34 are feeling both nervous and scared about the upcoming election. Kaiser Permanente found that five days after the 2020 election hospitalizations for heart attack, stroke and heart failure were up 17-percent.
