Astronaut Cleared For Return To Houston Following Brief Post Re-Entry Hospitalization  

(Cape Canaveral, FL) -- An astronaut who was hospitalized after returning from the International Space Station on Friday is given a clean bill of health. That's the word from NASA officials who say the space agency's Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt and Jeanette Epps, and Russia's Alexander Grebenkin underwent post-flight medical checks after their SpaceX capsule splashed down off Florida's Gulf Coast on Friday. The astronaut, who was not identified, reportedly was cleared to join the other crew members for "normal post-flight reconditioning" in Houston. The four astronauts had been in orbit at the International Space Station since March.

Deadly Shooting In Brevard County

(Palm Bay, FL)-- A man is dead after a shooting in Brevard County. Palm Bay Police say the man and a woman were shot yesterday at a business on Malabar Road. The woman was hurt, but there's no word on her condition. Police believe the shooter was one of those who was shot. 

Three Shot In Volusia County

(DeLand, FL) -- Three people are hurt after a shooting in Volusia County. It happened last night in DeLand on Springdale Court. Police say the victims were taken to the hospital. City officials say one is in critical condition, but there's no word on the conditions of the others. The shooting appears to be domestic in nature. No arrest has been announced.

Deadly Shooting In Volusia County

(DeLand, FL) -- A man is dead after a dispute with neighbors turned violent in Volusia County. The sheriff's office released details yesterday on Saturday's shooting in Port Orange on Jackson Lane. Marcus Blicker was shot to death after allegedly threatening a neighbor's son and the son's friend. The neighbor's son's dad came out of his house, armed with a rifle, and warned Blicker, who was in a truck, to leave. Deputies say Blicker started backing up but then accelerated toward the man, who shot at the truck. The 47-year-old Blicker died at the scene. No charges have been announced. 

Voters Clash in Miami-Dade County

(Miami, FL) -- An incident in Miami-Dade County shows how tense this election season is. Republican Senator Rick Scott visited the West Kendall Regional Library yesterday to meet voters. Democratic challenger Debbie Mucarsel-Powell [[MOOK-ur-sell]] and some of her supporters then showed up. Supporters of each candidate started shouting at each other, and NBC 6 reports police had to intervene to keep the peace. No one was hurt, and no one was arrested.  

Man Steals Patrol Car In Marion County

(Ocala, FL) -- A man is facing charges for allegedly stealing patrol car in Marion County. The sheriff's office says James Brady stole the car Saturday in Ocala on Southeast 59th Street. Deputies chased and caught Brady after using a PIT maneuver near Highway 200 and Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave. The 41-year-old was taken into custody. No one was hurt. 

Man Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting Poll Worker In San Antonio

(San Antonio, TX)-- A Texas man is facing charges for allegedly assaulting a poll worker in San Antonio. Police say Jesse Lutzenberger walked into the polling place wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat, which in Texas is considered illegal electioneering. A poll worker reportedly asked him to remove the hat, which he did, but Lutzenberger later put it back on as he was leaving. When the election worker again asked him to remove the hat the two reportedly got into an altercation that ended with Lutzenberger throwing multiple punches at the elderly victim. The poll worker was treated for non-life threatening injuries and Lutzenberger was later arrested on suspicion of a third degree felony.
