McDonalds, Color & Politics

Is there anyone who hasn’t gone to McDonalds? It’s kind of an everyman place. That’s why tossing French fries through the drive-through was a great idea for President Trump. It plays to everybody. So, why did McDonalds feel they had to distance from the event?

On the free speech front, it now appears the governor’s lawyers wrote the threatening letter sent by the Department of Health to TV stations across the state. No matter who penned the threats, it was a stupid move. Amendment 4 would be horrible for the state and end up being very costly. That said, political speech is to be the most protected of speech and we need to guard those lines.

The vendor for Supervisor of Elections websites across the state had major issues on day one of early voting. Attempts to reach the sites were met with redirection or very slow load times. Both Mike Haridopolos and I were experiencing it during his interview here. Mine finally came up with the current turnout, but it took a while.

Westin, the group revamping the former International Palms location in Cocoa Beach, wants more than the already largest property on the beach. It wants control of Lori Wilson Park next-door.
