Milton is due to make landfall overnight. Once it does, it will cross the state from the Gulf Coast through Central Florida and out into the Atlantic, all while maintaining hurricane force winds. There is a section of Milton related information, including closures and schedule changes posted below.
We’ll have updates with AccuWeather’s Heather Zehr at 25 past each hour of the show today.
We anticipate going into Operation StormWatch coverage on WMMB sometime late this evening. We’ll ride out the storm together and share updates with each other as they become available.
Today, it’s Wide Open Wednesday. We have more on the politics of hurricanes, a big win for Mom’s for Liberty over Brevard’s School Board, the Teamsters’ frustration with the Democratic Party, the disaster that Tim Walz would be for the country (and may be for the campaign) and more.
Outside our scheduled Milton updates, where we go today is up to you. Your calls drive the discussion as we get set to ride out the storm.
County Commission candidate interviews that were scheduled this week have been suspended. We’ll work on rescheduling them once Milton and its aftermath are taken care of.
