Hurricane Milton is approaching. We’ll keep you updated with the Operation StormWatch page at BillMick.com. We’ll have updates from AccuWeather at 25 after each hour of BML today and tomorrow as we prepare to ride out the storm with you here on WMMB.
We are watching out in other ways as well with Hillary Clinton continuing to go after free speech, President Trump going back to Butler, PA over the weekend, Florida Today lamenting the lack of candidate interest in forums this election season and the weekend beginning with a gun incident at Rockledge High.
With the situation in North Carolina being drastic after Hurricane Helene, FEMA is taking heat for its response or the lack thereof. Criticism may be justified and some of it may be overblown. I’m glad Florida understands it’s up to us to be ready to deploy relief efforts locally in the wake of a storm.
We are delaying County Commission D-1 candidate interviews that were scheduled for Wednesday and will reschedule them, hopefully for next week. Other scheduled interviews will be adjusted as necessary. Those decisions will be made after we deal with Milton.
