As Ken Holiday told us yesterday on BML, Helene is not likely to be huge for Brevard. While schools are closed today (EFSC also- but not FIT), we are not likely to see major repercussions from the storm. We may experience some gusts and heavy rain, but nothing like the Big Bend will see for the third storm in a row. Helene is big, expected to intensify to a category 4 storm before landfall and then extend to Tennessee, Kentucky and beyond.
We’ll have a relatively normal day on the show. We begin with professors at Dave Bowman’s Arizona State trying to be the Disney of history in how they’re handling William Shakespeare. If they did a movie about the bard’s life, he would not be portrayed as white.
We’ll also take a look at politics, national and local, in addition to the new charges for the would-be Trump assassin.
Tomorrow begins our focus on the November election with Chris Muro joining us for a preview. Candidate interviews begin next week. The schedule is posted here on the website. About half of the invited candidates have said they’ll be here.
