The NFL season kicks off this week and I’m not sure it’s a good look for the now national pastime. As has become tradition, the league is playing out of the country. This time it’s in Brazil and at least one player does not want to go. He may be onto something. At least one of the opening games will be on Paramount+, another on Peacock and I’m not certain, but last season one Peacock game was pay per view only. I’ll find something else to do instead of adding to my entertainment costs.
The Free State of Florida is fighting to keep 2nd amendment restrictions placed into our law by the Stoneman-Douglas school safety act. I guess free is a relative term. Maybe the state sees the constitution as the threat that the left keeps talking about.
In my absence, political activist and fake journalist Robert Burns was found guilty of those election law violations we had discussed a few weeks ago. It could be a step toward returning integrity to the process, but I’m pretty sure there is far more to do in that regard.
I have those stories and more in play for today’s show, but today’s your day. You decide our topics on this WIDE OPEN WEDNESDAY. What got your attention over the last week or so? We’ll find out as you get the chance to lay it out for us on BML.
