BML- A No Call Wide Open Wednesday

The BML candidate interview invitation and schedule

Integrity was the center of our Tuesday discussion on BML.

Integrity is the center of everything, all the time.

Integrity is what it takes to avoid being pulled into the Black Hole of Brevard Politics. Those with integrity survive with their reputations intact. Those without it are sucked into the event horizon, which in this case is the orbit of County Commissioner Johnus Disgustus Tobia.

Two State Attorneys have declined to prosecute the commissioner (not that that’s anything new if you heard Tuesday’s show) in spite of substantiated evidence of wrongdoing on Tobia’s part. Some of the allegations include obtaining the personal information of another elected official through fraudulent means which would appear to include suborning of electronic mail fraud, questionable handling of public records, using county staff for his state employment as a college teacher and more.

On today’s show we’ll take our 7am & 8am hours to talk with Christopher Davis, a former employee in John Tobia’s county commission office, who became uncomfortable with the lack of integrity in that office and the demands of Johnus Disgustus of his employees to steal from the taxpayers of Brevard by performing state college work and much, much more.

The questions for me involve our State Attorney Phil Archer and 7th Circuit State Attorney R. J. Larizza who was appointed by the governor to take over the case when Archer cited a conflict of interest in handling it. The evidence is clear, it’s substantiated by other Tobia county employees and acknowledged by Larizza. So, why no charges for the want-to-be Supervisor of Elections (where record integrity is of utmost importance)?

Then, I’ll have questions for elected officials and candidates (who are on the ballot in most cases) as to how they could support Tobia for such an important position where recordkeeping and integrity are paramount and criminality is most certainly a no-no.

The Black Hole of Brevard politics in this case is the orbit of John Tobia. It takes integrity to not be sucked in. I wonder which of these officials and candidates can avoid the event horizon?

We talk to Chris Davis for two hours to lay it out for you…today on BML.

With it being a No Call Wide Open Wednesday, use the Talk back feature on the iHeart Radio App to give us your thoughts. We’ll get to them as we follow up on this story the rest of the week.

THE LINEUP

Tobia won’t face charges (and now two State Attorney offices fail us)
