The BML candidate interview invitation and schedule
We are constitutionally focused on today’s show. Dave Bowman is with us as we look at the final Supreme Court releases of the term. They are some big ones. January 6th is the focus of a couple of them, agency rulemaking is another, and the big one affirms immunity for acts by a president carrying out his official duties.
President Biden took almost 5 minutes to attack the court in an address to the nation last night. It was a much stronger (and briefer) appearance than in Thursday night’s debate. The court also sent a Florida law on social media restrictions back tot eh appeals court for clarification.
Elsewhere, Governor DeSantis vetoed the vacation rentals bill that would have given the state control of regulations instead of local jurisdictions. Randy Foster has resigned from Palm Bay’s city council causing some concerns about filling the vacancy. A Sarasota court has ruled that the search of Christian Ziegler’s cell phone was illegal. The ship has already sailed on the political damage done. It’s interesting because a video discovered on that phone is what kept Ziegler from being charged with sexual assault.
We’ll being our day with a Florida law being challenged by a stripper who lost her job because of the new age restrictions. The constitution is even In a Handbasket this morning.
