Dr Pepper Ties With Pepsi For Number 2 Soda

(Undated) -- The Cola Wars are taking an unexpected turn. Dr. Pepper is now tied with Pepsi as the second most popular soda in the U.S. The Wall Street Journal reports the traditional versions of the carbonated beverages are neck and neck in second place, a spot Pepsi has consistently held for the last four decades. That's according to sales-volume data from Beverage Digest. The recent success of Dr. Pepper, which isn't even a cola, is attributed to heavy marketing, new flavors and TikTok videos. Coke is still by far the winner, raking in more than twice the revenue.
