So, what’s the brag for American universities in having students from all over the world attend these schools? Does it make them better institutions, or just maybe, does it make them ripe as intelligence targets for America’s enemies? Spies at the University of Florida are In a Handbasket this morning.
The world’s top golfer will not face charges in Louisville. The prosecutor in Scottie Scheffler’s case has asked the court to drop the charges, as well he should. As I said before, the cop is in far more trouble than Scheffler will ever be.
There was an interesting incident during yesterday’s show. I declined a call from a candidate in the upcoming school board election. It happens every election season for the last decade or so. Rookie candidates and their supporters, some only coming to the show when they sense advantage in being heard or heard about here, try campaigning with phone calls to the show. That’s a non-starter for me.
Public engagement in our elections and local governments has been a big part of BML since its inception. There are, however, some restrictions in what I will allow from candidates, campaigns or supporters. Someone who does not understand that took to Facebook yesterday to infer bias and unfair treatment on my part of that rookie candidate who called. Then other rookies jumped in showing a lack of understanding of the line we walk on the political tightwire. We’ll lay it out for them and you in today’s 7am hour.
