2 Arrested In Road Rage Shooting In Volusia County
(Mims, FL) -- Two Brevard County men are facing charges for a road-rage shooting in Volusia County. The Volusia County Sheriff's Office announced the arrests Sunday after Saturday night's shooting in Mims on SR 46.Deputies say a pickup truck passed an SUV, forced it off the road, and came to a stop. Two men got out of the truck and fired several shots at the SUV.A couple and three kids were inside, but no one was hurt. Deputies in Brevard County stopped the truck and arrested the alleged shooters. They're 52-year-old Chad McAninch and 45-year-old Chad Morrow. Both live in Port St. John. They're charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Man Arrested For Murder In Hillsborough County
(Tampa, FL) -- A man is facing charges after an argument turned deadly in Hillsborough County. The sheriff's office announced yesterday that Kamal Padlowski was arrested for an incident Saturday in Ruskin. Deputies say Padlowski and another man were arguing on a boat, and the argument continued when they reached a dock. At one point, Padlowski allegedly pushed the man, who hit his head on the dock, and Padlowski allegedly pushed him into the water. The sheriff's office dive team found the man's body. The 50-year-old Padlowski is charged with second-degree murder.
Man Killed In Officer-Involved Shooting
(Jacksonville, FL)-- A man is dead following an officer-involved shooting in Jacksonville. Investigators say a sheriff's deputy pulled up to a driver shooting into a car in the Brentwood area Sunday afternoon. The officer shot the suspect several times and he later died. It was Jacksonville's third officer-related shooting of the year.
Palm Bay Police Up Presence At The Compound
(Palm Bay, FL)-- Police in Brevard County are trying to keep people away from an area that has attracted crime. Palm Bay Police increased their presence yesterday at The Compound. The land has been vacant since plans for a housing development fell through decades ago. Bodies have been found there, and it has become known for drug activity, too. Police say this won't be a one-day thing. They tell Spectrum News 13 they'll continue to patrol the area on a routine basis.
Child Shot In Broward County
(Lauderhill, FL)-- A child is hurt after a shooting in Broward County. Lauderhill Police say a nine-year-old boy was shot yesterday morning. He was hit in the ankle and is expected to survive. The boy's mother says he was shot during an argument between others in the parking lot. A witness tells Local 10 News a man and a woman were arguing over someone parking in a fire lane. No arrest has been announced.
Fight Starts After Dog Is Denied Entry Into Pinellas County Bar
(St. Pete Beach, FL)-- A man is facing charges after a brawl broke out in a Pinellas County bar. Madeira Beach's Kenneth Alvin Davis, III was arrested Sunday at the Undertow Beach Bar in St. Pete Beach. According to an arrest affidavit, he wanted to bring his dog into the bar, but the manager told him dogs weren't allowed. Davis and friends allegedly got unruly, and Davis allegedly bit the manager's finger. The manager allegedly responded by punching Davis in the face. That led Davis' friends and other bar employees to join in before order was restored. News Channel 8 reports the 27-year-old Davis is charged with disorderly intoxication.
3 Hurt In Golf Cart Crash In Broward County
(Parkland, FL)-- Three children are hurt after a golf cart crash in Broward County. The Coral Springs-Parkland Fie Department says the cart tipped over yesterday in Parkland on West Hillsboro Boulevard. There were five kids in the cart. Three were taken to the hospital. One has serious injuries, but the other two have minor injuries. The other two kids were not hurt. There's no word on what caused the cart to tip over.
Man Drives Vehicle Into Food Truck
(Memphis, TN) -- Memphis Police have arrested a man who they believe intentionally hit a food truck and two people with his pickup truck this weekend. Officers say 42-year-old Alton Turner was allegedly intoxicated and got angry when he was cut off from alcohol then threatened a food truck owner on Macon Road. Turner reportedly got into his truck and drove into the food truck, hitting two people. Both victims were treated at the scene. Turner was taken into custody for aggravated assault and is behind bars on 75-thousand dollars bond.
