BML- Wide Open Wednesday

In some ways it appears society is crumbling. In a Handbasket we’ll examine one example from the weekend where poor event management resulted, not in discussion and resolution but, in a call to riot. What are we doing?

A University of Florida football recruit is suing after the Gators landed him in a bidding war for NIL money that fell apart.

The initial reaction to the headlines that use of deadly force was authorized in the Mar-a-Lago raid is unjustified. Newsflash: use of deadly force is always authorized when conducting such an operation. It should be. Cue the outrage mob in 3…2…1.

The defense has rested in the Trump trial in NYC. Closing arguments come next week and a verdict will follow. The defense has moved to dismiss the case, but the judge has not yet issued a ruling. Maybe that happens, but I doubt it. As we talked yesterday with Dave Bowman, the president has basically ignored the gag order in the case and yesterday was no exception.

Lastly, it would appear Kamala Harris is trying to position herself to be the nominee if President Biden is somehow not.  One columnist says it’s more possible than we may believe.

All that said, it’s your day to drive the discussion on BML. I’ll defer to your topics when we go to the phones or pick up the calls on the TalkBack feature on the iHeart Radio App.

So, tell me…what’s on your mind?
