Tampa Police Investigate After Suspicious Items Are Found In SUV Of Suicide Victim

(Tampa, FL) --Tampa Police are investigating after suspicious items were found in an SUV. The TPD says weapons, high-capacity magazines and gas tanks were found yesterday afternoon in an SUV in a parking lot on McKinley Drive. The items were found after a man in the SUV shot himself to death as police approached. Police say before he shot himself, he called FDOT and told a receptionist he had a bomb and was going to drive the SUV into their office building. He has not been identified, but police say he was 60-years-old.  

Attack On Disabled Student Caught On Tape

(Orlando, FL) --An Orange County school is investigating what it calls extremely disturbing altercations caught on tape. Two videos on social media show a 12-year-old girl in a wheelchair being attacked by other students at Conway Middle School. The more recent incident happened Friday, and the girl has not returned to school since. Her mother says she's livid the students haven't been punished. The sheriff's office, though, says investigators determined the students were just playing around, the girl didn't report being a victim of a crime, and no charges are pending. The girl's mother tells Eyewitness News the school failed her and her daughter. 

Bomb Squad Responds To Winter Haven Clinic Following Threat

(Winter Haven, FL) -- A disturbing phone call is being investigated in Polk County. The sheriff's office bomb squad was called yesterday to the Gessler Clinic in Winter Haven after someone reported smoke and haze in the building. It was evacuated, and the fire department searched the campus on First Street North, but didn't find any smoke or haze. Then, a voicemail was found in which someone threatened to blow up the building. The sheriff's office bomb detection K9 searched the building, but nothing suspicious was found, and staff was allowed back inside. Detectives are investigating to see who made the phone call.     

DeSantis Signs Communism Education Bill

(Tallahassee, FL) --The truth will set us free. That's what Governor Ron DeSantis said yesterday after signing a bill that requires schools to teach about the dangers and evils of communism. He signed SB 1264 on the 63rd anniversary of the Bay of Pigs invasion. DeSantis says we will not allow our students to live in ignorance, nor be indoctrinated by Communist apologists in schools. 

Scott Responds To Dismissal Of Mayorkas Impeachment

(Washington, DC) --Rick Scott is accusing the Biden Administration of putting politics over the safety of American families and national security. Senator Scott spoke yesterday after Democrats dismissed the impeachment charges against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Scott accuses Mayorkas of ordering laws to be ignored, allowing terrorists on the FBI's watchlist, migrants with known gang affiliations and fentanyl to stream into and ravage our country. He adds Senate Democrats have made certain that Mayorkas will never have to answer for any of the deaths his lawless agenda have caused. 

PepsiCo Recalls. Zero Sugar Ginger Ale That Actually Contained Full Sugar

(Washington, DC)-- PepsiCo is recalling over 200 cases of Schweppes Zero Sugar Ginger Ale that actually contain sugar. That's according to the FDA website. The ginger ale was packaged in 24-count cases of cans and shipped to Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia, according to Pepsi. The company said it began the recall in March after an internal investigation found the issue.
