(Doral, FL) -- Two people are dead and seven others were injured, including a police officer, in a shooting at CityPlace in Doral. The incident occurred at around 3:30 Saturday morning at a bar. When a security tried to end a dispute in the bar, the shooter pulled out a gun and killed them. The shooter was killed in an exchange of fire with police.
Jacksonville Florida Highway Patrol Agent Pleads Guilty To Theft Conspiracy
(Jacksonville, FL) --A Jacksonville Florida Highway Patrol Trooper has pleaded guilty to theft conspiracy. Joshua Grady Earrey will spend at least five years in prison after he took a plea deal where he admitted to three of eleven charges. Earrey spent 22 years as a trooper, he is scheduled to meet the judge on Tuesday.
Pre-Med Student In Custody After Confessing To Killing Mother Yesterday In Frostproof
(Frostproof, FL) --A University of Florida pre-med student is in custody after he allegedly killed his mother Saturday afternoon in Frostproof. According to the sheriff's office, 21-year-old Emmanuel Espinoza drove to his mother's house and fatally stabbed her. He reportedly then called 9-1-1 and confessed to killing 46-year-old Elivia Espinoza. Mrs. Espinoza was a second-grade teacher at Frostproof's Ben Hill Griffin Elementary School.

(Washington, DC) --Experts are warning people about fake eclipse glasses. The American Astronomical Society reminded stargazers to wear approved eclipse glasses on April 8th to watch the event, and to make sure they aren't counterfeit. Real eclipse glasses are specially made to block almost all visible light, and the AAS warned the market is full of cheap knockoffs that could cause blindness. On April 8th, the moon will pass between Earth and the sun, blocking much of its light for a few minutes. The society provided a list of reputable makers of eclipse eye protection, for the roughly 32 million Americans who will be able to see the total solar eclipse where they live.
Superman Comic Sells For Six-Million-Dollars
(Undated) -- A Superman comic from 1938 has a hefty price tag. An original print edition of Action Comics Number One was sold for six-million dollars this week at an auction. Heritage Auctions claims this makes it the most valuable comic book in the world. Only 200-thousand copies of Action Comics Number One were printed in 1938 and there's probably only 100 copies still in existence today, according to a Florida-based comic book grading service.
