Dave Bowman joins us for this Tuesday edition of the show. We’ll begin with space- Space: 1999. The British sci-fi show aired in 1975 & 1976 featuring a working moon base that was hurled into adventure by a nuclear waste explosion sending the moon out of its orbit. Why is that in mind? Because we are, hopefully, on the cusp of such a base- minus the hurling through space part.
There is convergence of sports activity at the moment. Baseball is underway, the NCAA basketball tournaments are ongoing, hockey is mid-season and yet, it’s soccer getting our attention today. Why? Because the fans are drawing more attention than the game they are heckling.
Governor DeSantis has signed the kids’ social media ban and it’s sure to land in court. A law banning Chinese nationals from college employment in Florida is already in the courts. I’m still wondering if our legislature has been properly focused in recent sessions. There is one they got right- a bill waiting to be signed by the governor would allow police to arrest squatters who occupy a home without a proper lease from the owner of the property.
Speaking of courts, President Trump’s bond has been reduced by an appeals court. That will likely stop the NY Attorney General’s seizure of Trump’s properties…for now. An Sean “Diddy” Combs was nowhere to be found as his homes on both coasts were raided yesterday in what is reported as a sex trafficking investigation.
Our final hour has a look at impeaching a president who was at odds with congress at every turn. It’s not as recent as it may sound and Dave will take us there with Dave Does History.
