Two Arrested For Child Neglect In Volusia County

(Daytona Beach, FL)-- A 27-year-old man and his fiancé from Georgia were arrested Saturday for child neglect. The sheriff's office says they were found intoxicated and asleep on Daytona Beach, and their two kids were nowhere in sight. Their children, seven and five-years-old, were found safe but unsupervised in a hotel pool. Speaking to Fox 35 the sheriff said it just boggles his mind 'that you would drive here and get obliterated and allow a five and a seven-year-old to wander off.'

USF Students On Hunger Strike

(Tampa, FL) -- Some University of South Florida students want the school to take a stand with Palestine. Eighteen students went on a hunger strike yesterday and protested at an administration meeting. They want USF to divest from companies the students say support genocide. One student tells News Channel 8 they want USF President Rhea Law to call for a cease fire and for humanitarian aid to be let into Gaza.   

Jax Beach Police Asking For Videos Tied To Three Sunday Shootings

(Jacksonville Beach, FL) -- Police are asking for the community's help as they search for the suspects tied three St. Patrick's Day shootings in downtown Jacksonville Beach. The police chief says hundreds of young people were hanging out under the pier, where they reportedly took part in planned fights. When officers separated the crowd, the first shooting broke out near a Best Western around 8 p.m. The other two took place down the road within 30 minutes. One person was killed and three others were seriously hurt. Authorities are looking for multiple suspects in the shootings that are believed to be unrelated.

Pursuit Suspect Crashes Into Ocean

(Los Angeles, CA) -- A woman is behind bars after crashing into the ocean at the end of a police chase near the Venice Fishing Pier in Los Angeles. The woman crashed her SUV into the water Sunday shortly after midnight. She was seen swimming away from the crash site but didn't get very far. Police threw her a flotation device, then pulled her out of the water with a net. The SUV was towed out of the water. It's unclear what the woman was initially wanted for.
