Ear buds and headsets are popular. They provide a much better audio experience than telephone or even car speakers. But are they lawful? I was reading a column on the topic yesterday and it struck me. Lawmakers can’t keep up with technology, much less get ahead of it.
Before we go there, In a Handbasket takes us back to the NCAA where I read an interesting admission yesterday. The NCAA has done no research into the impact of transletes in women’s sports. That does not bode well for the collegiate sports organization as the women athletes have now filed suit.
Representative Tyler Sirois will join us in our third hour today with a recap of the legislative session. Before that, we’ll consider the session as it relates to the first amendment. Our speech seems to always be under assail. We’ll see where those issues came into play in the 2024 session.
