BML Monday- Hate, Faith & Politics

Did you get to wind down and relax over the weekend? Are you ready to face a divided world as we jump back into the work week? The division is real, the hate is real and it’s even impacting folks who have generally similar belief systems.

Real history isn’t appreciated and an example used in a high school class has snowflake parents and others up in arms about its use. It’s a simple, yet, illustrative move that should have provided a lesson, but instead brought wrath.

From history we move to faith where something I’ve dubbed “Easy Jesus” seems to be the version we prefer to see. Even people of faith who have some doctrinal differences are spewing venom at one another.

The world of politics and spots clash yet again as Bob Costas does his best to be Keith Olbermann. I wish both could have stuck to their best selves. Excellent as sportscasters, both of these men are rabid when it comes to politics. I liked it better when I respected them for their abilities.

The South Carolina primary is over and President Trump trounced Nikki Haley in her home state. She’s apparently a slow learner as she’s pressing on to more defeat across the country. The number two Republican in the Senate has decided to endorse President Trump for the presidency. He’s a little late to the party and the endorsement is meaningless.

Here in the Sunshine State a Democratic State Representative and one of the founders of Moms for Liberty are on the same page when it comes to HB 1. It appears we weren’t alone in our concerns over the legislature’s effort at controlling social media apps when it comes to our kids.

Welcome to our talk week!
