Mobile Response Team Sees Rise In Calls

(Tallahassee, FL) --An effort to address mental health needs in the Big Bend is a game-changer. That's what Apalachee Center President and CEO Jay Reeve says about its mobile response unit. It responded to over 25-hundred calls for help last year from people in a mental health crisis. Reeve says the mobile response unit is a way to get people help without turning them over to the criminal justice system.  One member of the team says you don't need to be in a crisis to reach out to them. He recently told WCTV the team is there to help you navigate your way through your mental health journey. You can get more info at ApalacheeCenter.org.
