Fireworks Cause Fires In Jacksonville
(Jacksonville, FL)-- Fireworks are blamed for two fires in Jacksonville. The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department says two houses caught fire Sunday night and yesterday morning after fireworks left in the trash ignited. The JFRD hasn't reported any injuries or an estimate of the damages.
Burglary Suspect Dies After Crash In Marion County
(Ocala, FL) -- A man wanted for burglary is dead after a crash in Marion County. The sheriff's office says Kyle Last was wanted for a burglary Sunday night, and when deputies tried pulling him over, he drove into a deputy's patrol car and disabled it. Last kept going and wound up crashing into a business in Ocala at 22nd Ave and East Fort King Street. The 36-year-old died at the scene.
Driver Crashes Into Orange County Home
(Winter Park, FL)-- An Orange County man is upset with how local police handled a recent crash. A Tesla hit Mason Gregory's house in Winter Park on Brian Ave yesterday morning. No one was hurt. Gregory was disappointed that police didn't have the driver perform a field sobriety test. Police say the driver didn't show any signs of impairment, and they think a mechanical issue with his electric car played a role in the crash. Gregory, though, tells Fox 35 it's a shame police didn't take more action.
Eagle Lake Mayor Resigns Over New State Law
(Eagle Lake, FL)-- A new state law is driving out another local official. In Polk County, Eagle Lake Mayor Cory Coler's resignation took effect Friday. He announced his resignation two weeks ago because of a new financial disclosure law that took effect yesterday. The law requires local elected officials to publicly show all assets and liabilities of a thousand dollars or more. Coler says he's willing to share that kind of information with his wife but not his neighbors in a small town of just three thousand people. He's the second city official to resign over the law after Commissioner Scott Clark did so. Vice Mayor Suzy Wilson announced her resignation but changed her mind. The 43-year-old Coler had been on the city commission for over a decade, but he tells Fox 13 News he thinks the new law will make it hard to attract people to public service.
Teen Charged With Attempted Murder In Manatee County
(Parrish, FL) -- A teenager is charged with attempted murder in Manatee County. The sheriff's office says the 16-year-old boy was arrested Sunday in Parrish. He allegedly broke into a home under construction in Prosperity Lakes, and a security guard found him hiding inside a closet. The teen allegedly pointed a gun at the guard and pulled the trigger several times, but no shots were fired. The teen ran away, but deputies were called, and they found him in a nearby field. Besides attempted murder, he's also charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a minor.
Authorities Searching For Suspects After Amazon Truck Stolen In Harrison Township
(Harrison Township, OH) -- The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office in Ohio is searching for suspects after an Amazon truck was stolen in Harrison Township. The delivery driver called 911 and told dispatchers they were on a customer's porch when at least one person got out of a white Ford van and jumped into their truck before taking off. Deputies were searching for the vehicle in the area but so far there hasn't been any word on whether it was recovered.

According to a Forbes Health New Year's Resolution survey, 48-percent of Americans plan to improve their fitness, making it the most popular goal.Other most common resolutions include improving finances, improving mental health, losing weight and improving one's diet. Less popular goals include traveling more, meditating regularly, drinking less alcohol and performing better at work.
