It’s get-away day for me. After today’s show I’ll be out for the Thanksgiving holiday. I’m glad I’m not heading to a destination on the CDC’s list of airports to surveil. We’ll get to that a little later. We’ll open our day IN A HANDBASKET where a college sorority has expelled actual women who objected to having males masquerading as women in their membership.
On a related note, there is some hubbub over trans-performers in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. It’s New York. Many of these participants are from the entertainment world. Did we think there would be no trans-actors in the march?
Now, back to the CDC. For the Thanksgiving travel season our would-be overlords are monitoring travelers at several major airports. Could a sharp stick up the nose now be part of your travel itinerary?
A Pennsylvania town is fighting over the THIN BLUE LINE flag. The NEA is getting dose of its own medicine from its employees. American universities are in conflict over free speech and peace on campus. Speaker Mike Johnson has his first big win in his leadership role.
Locally, Brevard’s school board has a new chair and vice char. They’ve also approved a book review policy.
All of that and whatever you have in mind is up for grabs on this Wide Open Wednesday. The real question of the day is…what’s on your mind?
