Man Threatens People With Gun At Brevard County Park

(Viera, FL)-- A man with a gun is accused of threatening people at Viera Regional Park.The sheriff's office says a woman gave him a ride Friday night in Viera, but she got out of the car when he started acting paranoid and pulled out a gun. She told deputies she heard a gunshot as she was running away.Deputies were then called to the Park where they found a man matching the description given by the woman. They also found the man had been hit by a car.He was taken to the hospital, but there's no word on his condition. The sheriff's office says charges are pending.

Tampa Police Increase Patrols In Ybor City

(Tampa, FL)-- Tampa Police are making an effort to make residents feel safer in Ybor City. The TPD increased patrols and had more officers in the neighborhood this weekend.About a hundred officers were patrolling in cars, on foot, on bike and even on horseback. They announced yesterday about 30 arrests were made, including two 16-year-old boys. One gun was also recovered. Business owners, though, say crowds were smaller than normal after last week's deadly shooting. One owner tells ABC Action News it was the slowest daytime and nighttime he has seen in 24 years. 

Two Kids Arrested For Shooting BB At HillsCo Deputy

(Tampa, FL)-- Two children are accused of shooting BBs at a deputy in Hillsborough County. The sheriff's office announced yesterday a squad car was hit by a pellet in Gibsonton at Midway Street and Nundy Ave. The car's left rear window was shattered. The deputy and a recruit were in the car, but no one was hurt. Two 12-year-old boys were arrested and charged with throwing a deadly missile within or into a vehicle. Sheriff Chad Chronister says he's appalled at the behavior of these two individuals, and they will face the consequences for their actions.

Retired Firefighter Saves Man Who Fell Into Water

(Sanford, FL)-- A retired firefighter is credited with saving a man in Seminole County.Former firefighter Terry Myers says he was home Friday night when he got a phone call about a man in Lake Jesup.The man was thrown into the water after he crashed his motorcycle on a bridge. Myers got in his boat and he and his wife found the man. The man was conscious and alert. Myers tells WESH 2 News he got to the man just minutes before the fire department did.

SpaceX Breaks Re-Flight Record

(Cape Canaveral, FL)-- SpaceX has broken another record for reusing a booster rocket. A Falcon 9 rocket blasted off from Cape Canaveral Friday night to put 23 more Starlink satellites into orbit. The booster for the mission was first launched in May of 2020 and is the oldest currently flying. It landed safely on a drone ship about eight minutes after liftoff.It was the 18th launch of the booster, the most ever for a reusable rocket. 

Passenger Crawls Through Drive-Thru Window

(Troutdale, OR)-- Employees of a McDonalds in Troutdale, Oregon called police early Friday morning when a person tried to crawl into the restaurant using the drive-thru.When the driver pulled up they asked for a DoorDash order, but the employee said no order had been made. The car left and pulled around again. This time, the passenger got out and started yelling, cursing and threatening employees. When a Multnomah County Sheriff's deputy arrived, Zaria Frazier was halfway through the drive-up window, and was detained. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence and recklessly endangering another person.
