Each day Bill records a MICKnugget, a one-minute take on some issue that got his attention that morning. Below are the scripts for last week’s NUGGETS.

10.23.23- Trust Lost
We have no trust anymore. We don’t trust the courts; we don’t trust our elected and appointed officials and we don’t trust our governments.
And we’re justified in that cynicism.
When prosecutions appear to be politically driven, when it’s not equal justice for all, when we can’t trust those in charge of investigations and prosecution, we should be mad.
But we should also base our skepticism on evidence. We should be willing to see evidence no matter who is implicated.
We fall short there…we have chosen sides and joined a tug of war over philosophies, all the while believing that no one on our side can be wrong.
We do ourselves an injustice there. Facts are facts and we should face them head on, no matter who is implicated.
We should require of our side exactly what we require of the other, in fact, we should expect more integrity from our side.
Sadly, I’m not holding my breath.
10.24.23- Irretrievable?
Irretrievable- is that what our form of government is? I hope not, but a Jonathan Turley column from Fox News raises some interesting questions.
52% of Biden supporters say Republicans are a threat to the American way of life.
47% of Trump supporters say the same of the Democrats.
At 41 & 38%, respectively, those same folks say violence to stop the other side is justified.
Nearly a third of Republicans and almost a quarter of Democrats say we should explore alternative forms of government.
We’ve lost, in our collective memory, what it is be Americans. Let’s hope it’s not lost forever.
Unless we can understand that a constitution is not between a government and its people, but an agreement between the people themselves, then all is lost.
Until we elect people who understand this, the slide is inevitable.
10.24.23- The Blaze
Glenn Beck’s The Blaze is a news source I use daily. It’s integral in my show prep routine.
I’ve found it to be reliable, generally not sensationalized and solid in its sourcing of information shared.
I have found The Blaze a great starting point for our daily discussions.
And now, The Blaze is making a bold move. It’s dropping all advertising and going to a user supported format.
I hope it works.
In doing this, Glenn says the site is committed to expanded and better news, but it will take our support.
The Blaze is making this move to help ensure the news we want is not censored by Big Tech. We’ve all seen that happen.
I wish The Blaze success in this new endeavor. I’d hate to lose it as a source.
If you feel the same, please, consider subscribing to The Blaze. It’s too valuable to lose.
10.25.23- Disgustus Even More
It’s happened again.
Commissioner Johnus Disgustus Tobia has embarrassed us all.
At yesterday’s Brevard Delegation meeting the late-arriving county commission representative to the legislators appeared dressed as Elvis.
He referenced Elvis songs through his talking points and left the podium saying, “Elvis has left the building.”
How this clown has been elected over and over is baffling to me..
This lack of respect for his own job, the legislators and all of Brevard is appalling.
We are in serious times and instead of legitimate discussion, we are treated to this clown show who wants to be SOE. And he’s supported by the sheriff!
Tobia will keep the Johnus Disgustus moniker.
Elvis and the rest of us are not deserving of this disrespect.
10.27.23- Exerting Control
Self-control. Not everyone has it and maybe none of us do.
Early this week Glenn Beck changed the format of his The Blaze news service to one that is not advertiser supported. He did this because search engines were throttling content they did not like.
The ticket purveyor Eventbrite has stopped conservative leaning events from using their site while allowing those in support of Hamas’ terrorist acts to continue on that forum.
And now, Oregon’s Department of Education has dropped proficiency requirements for high school graduation rendering their diplomas worthless.
If you are to control your future a quality education is a must. To continue learning, reliable information is necessary, and it’s right in this country to gather with like-minded folks.
Seeing these and controlling them is essential to our freedoms.
The fight is on, right now.
