Governor Ron DeSantis Condemns Financial Aid, Touts Flights to Warzone

(Tallahassee, FL) --Governor Ron DeSantis is weighing in on President Biden's promised financial aid to Gaza which DeSantis says will be commandeered by Hamas to fund terrorism. The GOP presidential hopeful also condemned international students attending pro-Palestine rallies. He says as President he'd revoke their student visas. DeSantis says the state will continue to partner with non-profit Project Dynamo, to bring more Americans home from Israel and Gaza.

Orlando City Council To Vote On Pulse Purchase

(Orlando, FL) -- The city of Orlando could take control of the Pulse nightclub site today. The city council is expected to vote on plans to buy the property for two million dollars. Mayor Buddy Dyer wants to build a memorial to the victims of the 2016 mass shooting. City Commissioner Patty Sheehan tells News 6 the families of the victims tell her they want something that's sensitive and honors their children and loved ones.

Florida's Record Labor Force Outpaces the Nation

(Miami, FL) -- Florida's labor force is at an all-time high. That's according to recent employment data from FloridaCommerce.Florida's unemployment rate was two-point-eight percent in September, lower than the national rate of three-point-eight percent.  Florida also ranks first for entrepreneurship with more than two-point-six million business formed since 2019.

Gas Prices Fall Again Saturday

(Undated) --Florida drivers are saving a few bucks as they top off the tank this weekend. As reported by Triple-A, the average price for a gallon of regular fell Saturday in the Sunshine State to just under $3.24, this as the corresponding national figure eased to a little over $3.55. Prices remain lowest in Georgia, with yesterday's Peach State figure falling to just below $3.02. Prices were highest in California, where people are paying about $5.46.  

Man Arrested For Impersonating Police Officer

(Tampa, FL) --A Tampa man is accused of impersonating a police officer. Earl Cesario was arrested yesterday morning by FHP in Sumter County. Troopers say the 62-year-old had flashing red and blue lights on his pickup truck and was trying to pull people over on I-75 North near mile marker 313.  

Sacramento Police Apologize After Mistaking 8-Year-Old For Wanted Felon

(Sacramento, CA) -- Police in California are apologizing after mistaking a young boy for a wanted vicious felon. Sacramento officers pulled over a pregnant woman and her eight-year-old son, thinking the child matched a wanted juvenile's profile. Despite complying with instructions, the mother was informed later that her son resembled someone officers had been watching for two years based on hair texture and a white shirt.
