Six-Vehicle Crash In Brevard County
(Melbourne, FL)-- One person is hurt after a six-car crash in Brevard County. It happened last night in Melbourne on I-95 North near mile marker 183 and SR 518. FHP says the crash involved a bus, a minivan, an SUV and three sedans.There's no word on a cause.Troopers say the person who was hurt was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
Oviedo Police Warn Of Thefts In Daycare Parking Lots
(Oviedo, FL) -- There's a warning for parents of daycare students in Seminole County. Oviedo Police said last week that someone stole valuables from unlocked cars in daycare parking lots. NAS-Mayport Ship Deployed To Israel
(Jacksonville, FL)-- A fleet from Jacksonville is more than ready to answer the call to serve.That's what USS Mason Commanding Officer Justin Smith said this weekend. His guided-missile destroyer was deployed Friday from NAS-Mayport to the Eastern Mediterranean. It's the third ship deployed from Mayport since war broke out between Israel and Hamas.
American Evacuees From Israel Arrive In Tampa
(Tampa, FL)-- Hundreds of Americans stuck in Israel are now home and safe. A plane carrying 270 American evacuees from Israel landed at Tampa International Airport last night. Governor Ron DeSantis was at the airport to greet the arrivals. He signed an Executive Order last week that allows the Florida Division of Emergency Management to help Floridians in Israel get out. The FDEM worked with the Tampa rescue group called Project Dynamo to charter flights for the evacuees. The FDEM estimates there are still thousands of Floridians still in Israel.Project Dynamo Founder Bryan Stern says he's also working on freeing Floridians in Gaza and hostages held by Hamas.
Miami Area Rabbis Arrive In Israel
(North Miami Beach, FL)-- Some locals are making sure Israel has what it needs to win its war with Hamas. A group of rabbis from Miami-Dade County flew into Israel yesterday from Miami International Airport. They brought military equipment and moral support. Bay Harbor Islands' Joseph Waks joined them. He tells Local 10 News we have one homeland and if we don't protect it, who will.
McCartney: Yoko's Presence In Studio "Disturbing"
(Undated) -- It may come as little or no surprise to Beatles fans that Paul, George and Ringo weren't thrilled with Yoko Ono in the studio with them. In an episode of his podcast "McCartney: A Life in Lyrics," Paul McCartney said Yoko's presence during the recording of "Let It Be" was at best, a distraction and at worst, "disturbing." McCartney said nobody objected when John Lennon started bringing Yoko to the studio, but he also said that none of them besides Lennon wanted her there. McCartney added that he and the other Beatles weren't very confrontational, so they "just bottled it up" and let it be.
