Florida Judge Sides With Teacher Who Left Gun In Car

(Tallahassee, FL) -- A Florida judge is siding with a teacher who is accused of leaving a gun inside his truck on school property. The recommendation earlier today states that St. Lucie County educator Joel Potts should keep his job following the incident in September. The AK-47 rifle was not loaded but rounds of ammunition were found inside Potts' truck outside Fort Pierce school. The judge says a state law allows people to have firearms in their vehicles. The ruling will go back to the school district, who will ultimately have the final say.       

Brevard County Pharmacist Indicted

(Titusville, FL)-- A Brevard County pharmacist is accused of drug trafficking. Basil Itani was indicted yesterday for trafficking in oxycodone and other Schedule Two controlled substances. The 46-year-old pleaded not guilty. He owns Itani Family Pharmacy in Titusville, but there's no word on if the charges are connected to the pharmacy. Itani's trial is set to start in August. 

Quarantine Zone Established To Contain Giant African Land Snails

(Miami, FL)-- A new effort is underway to eradicate what one scientist calls an agricultural pest. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services established a quarantine zone yesterday for the giant African land snail. The quarantine area runs from southern Broward County to northern Miami-Dade County. FDACS will treat the area with bait that should dehydrate and kill the snails within days. The snails were confirmed three weeks ago, and FDACS' Dr. Trevor Smith says about 200 have been found since then. They eat hundreds of plants, fruits, vegetables and even the stucco on buildings.Smith tells CBS News Miami the snails carry a parasite that can lead people to get meningitis. 

NFL To Reinforce Gambling Policy To Players

(Undated) -- In the new age of legal sports betting, the NFL is reinforcing its gambling policy to players across the league. One of the key changes will be that all rookies will now be required to attend mandatory education sessions. League officials are also set to make the rounds to different team facilities in order to "emphasize and clarify what activities are prohibited."The NFL's gambling policy includes six key rules that are highlighted by not betting on any NFL games, not sharing any team "inside information", and not participating in any daily fantasy games. Five NFL players were suspended due to gambling earlier this offseason. 

Domino's To Launch "Anywhere" Delivery

(New York, NY)-- Domino's will soon be able to deliver your pizza without an address. The pizza chain is launching "anywhere" delivery on its app, which will allow you to order food by dropping a pin. The company said in a release that it'll be great to use during the summer, when people head to beaches and parks where providing an exact address could be difficult. Customers will be able to track their order's location and get text alerts about their delivery.
