Thanks for letting me get away for a long weekend.I didn’t go anywhere; I stayed at home. The weekend was relaxing, reuniting, reassuring and restful. Add a prayer to that and we have a Baptist sermon!
I had a weekend full of friends, family and fun. It started with lunch with a friend on Thursday: the same with a different friend on Friday. Saturday was the birthday celebration. I made it to church on Sunday and had a great conversation with one of our pastors and then ran into several friends while there. I ran into another friend as I went to breakfast on Monday. My native land turns 160 today- it’s West Virginia Day.
It’s time to get back to the conversation. Authorities are ignoring the law as it applies to them. When the lawmen are lawless, there is no law. The College Board is saying it won’t comply with Florida Law when it comes to AP classes. I would expect the DeSantis administration to not take kindly to that. A threat by the D-33 Rep has come to fruition as the Brevard Zoo saw $2m in state funding for the proposed aquarium whacked from the budget by Governor DeSantis. Petty politics are the rule of the day in D-33. I’m pretty sure that’s not what the founders envisioned.
We’ll get a look at one founder with Dave Bowman in our 3rd hour. Perhaps the best known Framer/Founder these days is Alexander Hamilton. But, as the case may be, not for the reasons for which he would have liked to have had remembered or had sung about in a Broadway musical.
