Former. Pres. Trump No Longer In Miami After Court Appearance Tuesday

(Miami, FL)-- Former President Donald Trump is no longer in Miami after appearing in a federal courthouse to be arraigned Tuesday. Attorney Todd Blanche entered the plea as the former president sat silent.Protesters- both in support and opposition of Trump- showed up outside of the downtown Miami courthouse.Federal, state, and local law enforcement were there with drones and K-9 units to ensure the scene stayed safe.Before leaving the city, Trump stopped at Versailles Restaurant in Little Havana where he met with supporters

Officers Testifying In Trial For Former Parkland School Resource Officer

(Fort Lauderdale, FL)-- Law enforcement officers are testifying in the trial for the former school resource officer at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Scot Peterson is facing 11 charges after allegedly failing to confront the Parkland school shooter in 2018. After testimony from officers Monday and Tuesday, the trial is set to resume Thursday morning.

State Regulators Approve FPL Request To Reduce Rates

(Tallahassee, FL) -- Floridians will get some financial relief this summer. State utility regulators approved a plan yesterday to reduce monthly rates for Florida Power and Light Customers starting next month.The company says the drop in rates is meant to reflect a continued downward trend in fuel prices. The average customer is expected to see a roughly four-dollar difference per month. The plan will take effect in July.

Woman Discovered Alive At Her Own Wake

(Ecuador) -- A woman is recovering after waking up inside a coffin at her own funeral. It happened Friday in Ecuador, where mourners were gathered to say goodbye to 76-year-old Bella Montoya, declared dead from cardiorespiratory arrest. That diagnosis was a bit premature as she started banging against the side of the coffin.Medics quickly administered aid and later determined she suffered from catalepsy, a condition that causes a trancelike state, slower bodily functions and body rigidity. Her son calls it a miracle from God and said his mother is stable and on oxygen.
