05.30.23- PRIDE Before a Fall

It’s said that pride comes before a fall. In this case, it’s PRIDE MONTH that has set American corporations up for the fall and it’s a big one.

The LGBT community’s push to have members’ personal lives in our living rooms and our kids’ classrooms has reached PEAK FREAK and America, middle-America is reacting.

It's America’s corporations, who are buying into the rainbow fag wavers, that are paying the price.

First up- Bud Light. The Dylan Mulvaney controversy has Anheuser-Busch slashing prices to no avail.

Then enter Target with their Pride Month Displays and Kohl’s with trans-baby wear.

All are paying big costs for forgetting business and playing culture warrior. America’s consumers are not having it.

The rainbow warriors are going after Florida and Ron DeSantis saying the state has “devastating Impacts” to them.

Hey, I’ll take Family Friendly Florida as a badge of honor…thanks, rainbow marketers!

05.31.23- All or Nothing?

It’s interesting to see conservatives prefer to burn down the barn rather than begin repairs.

Letting the government financially fail and rebuilding from the ground up, instead of taking intermediate steps to stop the damage, doesn’t make sense to me.

It doesn’t make sense to Newt Gingrich, either. And he’s been there and done that.

The Contract with America made significant and positive changes for our country. It was not accomplished in one fell swoop.

Calm, methodical steps led the Contract with America to significant change for the better.

It didn’t happen overnight, and it won’t this time.

It’s not all we want, and with the makeup of congress, we weren’t getting that anyway.

Take the first step and then start running when conditions are more favorable for greater change.

It beats letting the barn burn to the ground.

06.01.23- The SOE Awards

Congratulations to Brevard Supervisor of Elections Tim Bobanic. His office has been recognized with another award from the Election Assistance Commission.

This award is for the SigView system that was developed in-house by the Supervisor’s IT team. It allows for observers to see signature comparisons of mail ballot submissions alongside on-record voter signatures.

It's not the first time Brevard’s SOE has been recognized for excellence in conducting elections. It’s expected here.

And that has me wondering why anyone would want to even think about a change in management structure in the office, especially when the announced contender for the SOE position has no experience in elections or any kind of management, much less in such a complicated operation.

In 2024 we’ll have a choice of continuity and proficiency in our elections or an experiment in political posturing and guesswork.

For me it’s no brainer. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it and especially not with someone who’s absolutely clueless.

06.02.23- AI Fed?

I had an interesting phenomenon occur during prep for Friday’s show. Was it coincidence or something more?

What happened was, as I researched topics for the show, a recurring theme was there. Time after time stories about Artificial Intelligence kept popping up.

Many of them were from the Fox News web site. Was it an AI heavy story day or maybe, just maybe did the site pick up on my choosing to read the story and then begin feeding me more stories related to the AI topic?

I don’t know, I suspect the latter, but none the less AI is here and it’s here to stay.

Politics, medicine, employment, health, entertainment, security, education, nothing is beyond the reach of AI.

AI robotics is in play and our best (and worst) scientific imaginings are possible.

AI will have its uses, but I left the show Friday wondering if Ai had just used me.
