Two Arrested Following South Florida Mass Shooting

(Hollywood, FL) -- Two suspects are in custody following a Memorial Day mass shooting in South Florida.Police say the gunfire broke out between two groups of people along the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. Nine people were injured, including several who were under the age of 17. Officials say the victims are all in stable condition. Five guns were recovered at the scene. Police are still looking for three additional suspects they believe were involved.

Child Hurt In Hollywood Shooting To Be Released From Hospital

(Hollywood, FL)-- There's good news to share about a child hurt in the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk shooting. One-year-old Amari was shot in the foot Monday night, but his uncle tells NBC 6 the boy will be released from the hospital today. Amari was one of four children and nine victims hurt in the shooting.Three have already been released from the hospital. Amari's uncle set up a GoFundMe page that has raised over 800 dollars. He writes on the page the family could also use your prayers as they navigate through this difficult season of life.

Baby Dies In Hot Car

(Palm Bay, FL)-- A child is dead after being left alone in a hot car in Brevard County.Palm Bay Police say an 11-month-old was found unresponsive Sunday after being left in a car outside a church on Babcock Street. The baby was taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead. Deputies say the child was in the car for three hours while the parents were in Mount of Olives Evangelical Baptist Church. The parents are co-pastors. No charges have been announced, but an investigation is ongoing.

UCF Announces New Degree Program

(Orlando, FL)-- UCF is promising students what it calls an unparalleled experience in the tourism capital of the world. The school announced last week it'll start offering degrees this fall in theme park and attraction management. Carissa Baker is the coordinator of the new degree program, and she says it'll give students a specialized understanding of the complex global tourism industry. She adds UCF will be the only school in Florida to offer a degree like this.

2005, in an exclusive interview with "Vanity Fair" magazine, former FBI official W. Mark Felt said he was the mysterious informant known as "Deep Throat." Felt said he was the one who leaked information to the "Washington Post" over break-ins at the Democratic Party offices at the Watergate Hotel during the Nixon administration. The information led to the resignation of U.S. President Richard Nixon in 1974.Felt's admission marked the first time that a major potential source had claimed to be "Deep Throat."

2003, accused serial bomber Eric Robert Rudolph was taken into custody in North Carolina, five years after eluding FBI and local police. Rudolph, who was on the FBI's ten most wanted list, was the man suspected to be behind the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Park bombing which killed one person and injured 100 others. He was also a suspect in the bombing of an Alabama abortion clinic and a gay nightclub in Atlanta.
