SpaceX Launches Astronauts To ISS
(Cape Canaveral, FL) --The week is off to a historic start for SpaceX. The company launched four astronauts to the International Space Station yesterday afternoon. The Axiom Space Ax-2 mission blasted off from Kennedy Space Center. A Saudi Arabian onboard is the first Arab woman in space.The crew members will spend eight days docked at the ISS conducting experiments. Ax-2 is part of Axiom's mission to build the first commercial space station.
DeSantis Sues To Get U.S. District Judge Overseeing Disney Lawsuit Disqualified
(Orlando, FL) --Florida Governor Ron DeSantis trying to get a federal judge disqualified from the First Amendment lawsuit filed by Disney against DeSantis and his appointees over concerns about the judge's impartiality. On Friday, the governor's attorney moved to disqualify Chief U.S. District Judge Mark Walker from overseeing Disney's suit alleging that the DeSantis administration violated the company's right to free speech.
DeSantis Speaks In Orlando
(Orlando, FL)-- Governor Ron DeSantis has only begun to fight. That's what he said Saturday in Orlando while speaking to the Florida Family Policy Council. He said he doesn't think there's any state in recent memory that has done more than Florida has in the last six months. DeSantis adds Florida is number one in business formations, tourism, economic freedom and education freedom. He also said we fought the good fight in the legislative session and kept the faith, but we have more to do.
Fire At 7-Eleven In Brevard County
(Palm Bay, FL)-- Firefighters in Brevard County are credited with preventing a disaster at a gas station. An RV caught fire Saturday night in Palm Bay at a 7-Eleven on Minton Road.Firefighters were able to put out the fire before it spread to the gas pumps. No one was hurt. There's no word on the cause of the fire.
