Here’s a recap of the week…

BML Monday: Do Our Beliefs Matter?

…actually, they don’t

A recent survey surprised me. It was about gender and our perception of it. What amazed me was the massive amount of people who believe gender can be changed. It was nearly half. When it comes to science and reality, do our beliefs really matter? The answer has to be no. What is…is, regardless of what we think about it.

That ties in to our IN A HANDBASKET story which again features the Bud Light advertising debacle. Anheuser-Busch has finally fired the ad agency responsible for so poorly misreading the brewer’s target audience.

In Florida we have decided to track potentially dangerous school kids and Brevard’s count commission is working to dial back public comments at its meetings.Apparently the commission didn’t learn from the school board’s attempts at the same.

In DC, it’s becoming ever more clear that President Joe Biden is not the chosen candidate for the left in 2024. President Trump’s numbers on the other side are rising. The Supreme Court is about to embark on a series decisions coming out between now and July. There are interesting things at play in those decisions.

BML Tuesday: Nightlife Nightmare

DAVE DOES HISTORY

We’ll kick off the day with news surrounding this weekend’s shootings in Downtown Melbourne. Victim family members are calling for more security in Little Baltimore, but is there more to it than that? Oh, you bet there is.

IN A HANDBASKET we’ll see a nearly lifelong favorite of mine, a hall of Fame basketball coach, in hot water for his comments yesterday to our own Bill Cunningham during an interview on Cincinnati’s WLW. Bobby Huggins is a great coach and a blunt orator. Will today’s environment cost him his job?Should it?

Kids are attacking teachers and school staff. One teacher’s had a repeat event for simply trying to do his job. What is it with these kids? A Virginia teacher is in hot water for demanding a student speak English in class. These kids are in American schools, is English an unreasonable demand?

Dave Bowman looks at American/British rivalry in this week’s edition of DAVE DOES HISTORY. It even played out on stage as actor one-upmanship became a thing.

BML Wide Open Wednesday

…the day is up to you

After much controversy women’s sports are finally being protected in some corners. That has one translete ticked off, saying he’s been marginalized. He’s correct, but not like he thinks. It could be Spain has come up with the answer…or not.

Tucker Carlson is speaking out. He’s accusing Fox of fraud and more. He also has some valuable advice for those of us who follow the news as he plans to return to the information flow…someday.

Donald Trump has been found liable in a civil trial. Andrew Gillum jurors saw a “flimsy” case, and Florida elections are cited as a great example in today’s mix of election rules.

Those are the stories on my mind today, but it’s WIDE OPEN WEDNESDAY and the discussion is up to you. If it’s on your mind, it’s on BML!

BML Thursday: The End of COVID

…the $1m “f-bomb”

Today is the day that COVID-19 is officially over. Just ask the Biden administration; they say so! Florida has a new bill outlining pandemic plans and restrictions on government action during such an event and our Surgeon General is speaking out about eh dangers of COVID vaccines. Wayne Price witht4he Space Coast Health Foundation joins us in our 8am hour to discuss our reaction to the pandemic- what went wrong and what may have been right.

Our day begins a with bad traffic enforcement idea. Having unarmed civilians doing the job of police when it comes to traffic stops is dangerous and stupid. We’ll then take a look at the Million Dollar F-bomb and the penalties for WV basketball coach Bobby Huggins.

Here in Brevard, our new Superintendent of Schools has inked a contract, public comment changes are coming to the country commission, but they have been adjusted and we have a look at potential changes for Downtown Melbourne’s nightmare nightlife.

BML Friday: Trump & Media, Corporations & ESG

…Sirois and the legislative recap

President Trump gave CNN its best ratings in a long time with his town hall this week. The leftists in the country are none too happy about it.Anderson Cooper took to defending his network with limited success.

A Brevard school teacher is to be charged with the district’s own Fight Club at the middle school where he teaches.

ESG is doing businesses no favors in the country. It’s taken some time, but Bud Light bowing to the nut job agenda has shown that mainstream America won’t tolerate the nonsense. Citigroup is backtracking on its positions on ESG in Texas as the state, like Florida, has stopped investing in questionable, agenda driven business practices. There is power in the dollar if its use is wielded correctly.

The Florida legislative session is over and it was a buy one. Representative Tyler Sirois joins us in our 8am hour to recap the session for us with its successes and challenges.
