The Florida legislative session comes to a close today. It’s clear who leads the lawmaking body- Governor Ron DeSantis. The governor’s agenda went pretty much unabated through the session with several wins for the DeSantis agenda. That’s what a strong governor and term limits will do for you. We'll take a look at several of those initiatives during today’s show.
Brevard seems to be full of petty politics, mostly coming from the petty minds of the officials we elect to some jobs and those of us who watch and discuss their antics. When the watchers and the office holders cross swords, hilarity and stupidity can (and often does) ensue. We expect better than this, but our expectations are unrealistic.
We have a new Superintendent of Schools in the person of Cocoa Beach Jr-Sr High principal Mark Rendell. A look at the selection process shows that at least one board member doesn’t get it. Maybe it’s because she was distracted by the aforementioned petty politics.
We’ll begin our day with stupid criminal tricks IN A HANDBASKET which, come to think of it, is not a lot different from Brevard’s petty politics.
Welcome to our Friday on BML.
