Fine and other Republican legislators are backing legislation to ban treatments, like hormone therapies and puberty blockers, for patients under the age of 18. UCF Professor Discusses Proposed Change To 'Resign To Run' Law

He was commenting on an amendment to a state senate bill that would allow an office holder to remain in office if they ran for president or vice president. Under current law, they would have to resign. Jewett says the vast majority of Republicans in the Legislature support the governor, and they would like to see him run. He also tells the Orlando Sentinel they have pretty much been doing what the governor wants for the last few years, and this is one more example.
