Tornado Confirmed In Brevard County

(Titusville, FL) --A tornado is responsible for damage in Brevard County. The National Weather Service confirmed yesterday that an EF-Zero tornado touched down Sunday in Micco for less than half-a-mile. Winds measured up to 70 miles an hour, and over two dozen homes sustained damage. No one was hurt.   

DeSantis Details Next Move Against Disney World

(Lake Buena Vista, FL) -- Governor Ron DeSantis is laying out his administration's next move in their ongoing battle with Walt Disney World. The governor was in Central Florida earlier yesterday saying a last-minute agreement between the company and its former oversight board is "not going to fly."He went on to say state lawmakers could move on a series of bills designed to reassert state control over Disney's district as soon as next week. This all comes a year after the company spoke out against the Parental Rights in Education law, which limits discussion of sexual orientation in public schools from kindergarten through third grade.

Murder Suspect Returns To Prison

(Titusville, FL)-- A Brevard County man convicted of murder is vowing to regain his freedom. Crosley Green returned to prison yesterday to finish a life sentence for killing a man in Mims in 1989. Green had that conviction overturned and was released from prison two years ago after serving over 30 years. That ruling, though, was reversed by an appeals court, and the 65-year-old was ordered to return to prison. In a video released by his lawyer, Green says, 'I can't say when, I can't say how, but I will eventually have my freedom.'   

Broward Residents Look To Rebuild From Flooding

(Fort Lauderdale, FL)-- The worst of the flooding may be over in Broward County, but the short-term outlook is still bleak for some. One man at a Fort Lauderdale comfort station yesterday said everything he and his family had is gone. A Fort Lauderdale woman had her home flood last week for the first time in 45 years. She didn't have insurance, and she says this is really devastating. She also tells 7News this storm is an eye-opener for her and everybody.

Broward County Mayor Urges Patience Amid Gas Delays

(Fort Lauderdale, FL)-- Broward County drivers in need of gasoline are asked to be patient. County Mayor Lamar Fisher said yesterday the fuel supply arriving at Port Everglades remains sufficient and deliveries are expected to increase at a regular pace over the next few days. He adds there is no need to panic or rush to the pumps. Some gas stations have reported shortages because of flooding at the port. Fisher says each day gets better, and he's asking residents to 'please hang in there.'  Customers at some gas stations reported waiting over 30 minutes for gas. One driver tells 7News the gas shortage makes him feel like he's back in his native Venezuela. 

Colorado Man Found Smoking Fentanyl Laced Marijuana At Key West Air Show

(Key West, FL)  -- A Colorado man is facing charges after being caught getting a different kind of high at a Florida air show. Navy personnel notified the Monroe County Sheriff's Office that Delmar Grant was smoking drugs on Naval Air Station Key West property. The marijuana was found to be laced with Fentanyl. Police say they found pot and drug paraphernalia in his car.
